WEEKLY BULLETIN
PRINCIPAL’S CORNER
As is the rest of country, we, at St. Angela, are looking forward to the election on Tuesday.  Students in all grades will be invited to vote in a mock election.  A special voting booth has been constructed.  Please ask your children about their experience when they come home on Tuesday.  You are reminded that we are showing our patriotism with a “red-white & blue” dress down day on Tuesday.

It was nice to see so many of you at our School Saints Mass.  Special thanks to the parents and teachers of the class patron saint representatives for your successful efforts in depicting the saints.  Your efforts truly helped the students to further reflect on the saints as our role models.  The 1st, 2nd and 3rd graders who dressed as Saints also added to our week.

Of course, Trunk-or-Treat was, once again, a great success!  It was so great to enjoy this festive occasion with you.  Special thanks to the coordinators of various aspects of the event including:  Paula Lockhart (food & drink), Joey Davenport (parking), and Marion & Susan Perret (music).  Also, thanks to those who helped to sell pizza and drink and to those who helped with set-up, parking and clean-up.  Thanks also to those who sponsored a “trunk” and donated candy.  The trunks are getting more and more elaborate!!  The costumes were a lot of fun too!  It’s through the cooperation of all that makes this event work so well!!

Well, our Senior Girls’ Volleyball team won it all!!  The girls won the Archdiocese championships on Wednesday.  In addition to winning the East Jefferson Conference last week, this makes them champions over the entire archdiocese which includes all Catholic Schools in Orleans, Jefferson, Plaquemine, St. Bernard, St. Charles, St. John and St. Tammany parish.  Congratulations to Coach Joey Davenport, Assistant Coach Stacy Waldvogel and the entire team:    Bailey Berrigan, Julia Delesdernier, Haley Grieshaber, Isabella LeBlanc, Kayla Meyers, Sophie Miller, Lauren Saunée, Alexa Songy and Tess Waldvogel.  We are proud of you!

Please note the information going home today on the Christmas Card/Note Card program.  In order to get cards back in a timely manner, all orders are due on Thursday, November 6th.  You received a black and white copy of your child’s illustration for preview.  If you would prefer to see the color original before ordering you may come to school and arrange with Mrs. Toups to see the original.

As part of our parish Advent celebration, the St. Angela Liturgy Committee would like to have a parent/child team to light the Advent Wreath candle(s) at each Mass on the four Sundays of Advent again this year.  Please fill out the attachment if you are interested.  If you have more than one child and would like to do it more than once, please state this.
