12) St. Angela Merici School's faculty has over 672 years of teaching experience and over half of them are parishoners of the parish.
1) St. Angela Merici School is conveniently located in a safe and quiet Metairie neighborhood. With an enrollment of about 500 students, St. Angela Merici has two sections of each grade level, which fosters for our family-friendly atmosphere.
2) In order to enhance religious education and provide a Catholic environment, all faculty members of St. Angela Merici School are either in the process or are currently certified in religious education.
3) St. Angela Merici School has received grants for technology totaling over $45,000. In addition to the computer lab and desktops throughout the school, teachers and students have access to a portable computer lab with 17 networked laptop computers.
4) St. Angela Merici offers a Challenge Program, a multi-disciplinary program for qualified accelerated students in Grades 2-5.

5) For the past 23 years, St. Angela Merici has been the site of a Special Education program that offers individualized instruction to qualified students through LA. Bulletin 1508.
6) St. Angela Merici's library has approximately 11,000 books and has a new automated circulation program, Accelerated Reader program and Internet access with a protected firewall.
7) St. Angela Merici offers BUG (Bring Up Grades) club to enrich students' self-esteem.
8) St. Angela Merici has a counselor on campus all day.
9) St. Angela Merici is home to one of metro area's most active scouting programs boasting eight troops for boys and nine for girls.
10) St. Angela Merici participates in "Grammer Ball" a popular annual intramural basketball program for boys and girls that is available in a few archdiocesan schools. This program at St. Angela includes 105 students, 9 coaches and 70 parent volunteers.
11) Over 68 families who have children currently enrolled at St. Angela Merici also attended as youngsters themselves, a great testament to our school's solid Catholic foundation, academic excellence and family-friendly atmosphere.
