The St. Angela Merici Cooperative Club, known as the "Co-op", supports SAM by providing all types of services:
- Service – the Co-op is involved in charitable causes through membership in the Council of Catholic School Co-operative Clubs (CCSCC) of the Archdiocese of New Orleans. These include the Clothe-a Child campaign During Christmastime, Madonna Manor Birthday Parties for the children who reside there, and the Keep Christ in Christmas Campaign. The co-op also provides refreshments and assistance with many school and parish functions throughout the year.
- Fundraising – the Co-op sponsors several school fundraisers throughout the year and assists with major parish functions as well. The projects funded in recent years have included refinishing school lockers, computer software, basketball goals, library renovations, playground equipment, science lab desks, and WeatherBug Program.
- Social activities – the Co-op sponsors several fun activities throughout the year and 5 meetings with interesting and entertaining topics. Food and drink are plentiful at the meetings and it is a great time to meet other parents and relax with adults only. Please take the time to read the Co-Op newsletters and reflect on the ways that you can get involved and support these activities.
