GOAL:
The Student Council is a leadership as well as a service organization at St. Angela Merici School.
MEMBERS:
Two Student Council members are elected by each homeroom in grades 5th through 8th.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Maintain 2.5 GPA quarterly
- Maintain conduct grade of A or B (not B-)
- Must consider yourself a positive role model
- Must attend all meetings, usually held at lunchtime
- Must work all activities such as school fair, fish fries, concession stand, etc. as needed
- Must participate in bake sales/ fund raisers
ELECTIONS:
Eligible students must complete a Student Council Application and return to Mrs. Bourqe in early September. Elections are held mid-September.
OFFICERS:
Student Council Officers (President, Vice-President, Secretary and treasurer) are elected by all 5th through 8th grades in mid-September. The president and vice-president positions are held by 8th graders. Secretary and treasurer are held by 7th or 8th graders.
If you run for office and are not elected, you will remain as a representative on the Student Council.
