Kindergarten Celebrates St. Angela Merici Feast Day with a Coastal Restoration Service Project

To honor the Feast Day of St. Angela Merici our kindergarten classes partnered with Coalition to Restore Coastal Louisiana, or CRCL, to participate in a service project to save the coast. The children learned about the process of erosion and how they could help slow this process down by recycling their oyster shells. Each student got to decorate their own shell and our friends at CRCL are going to plant them back in the marsh where new oyster reefs can grow back stronger and strengthen the shorelines of our great state of Louisiana.
